WHAT HAPPENS IN A SPIRITUAL DIRECTION SESSION?
Spiritual direction sessions include prayer and listening to God. Topics addressed in the sessions are determined by the directee and usually arise out of what feels joyful, what seems unclear, a struggle in life, experiences with God, or questions and doubts about God.
HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET FOR SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?
Monthly one-hour sessions are most common. However, if you desire to meet more often arrangements can be made for that.
WHERE DO WE MEET FOR SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?
I live in Katy, Texas and enjoy meeting in person. I am also happy to meet via video online.
IS SPIRITUAL DIRECTION FOR ME?
I provide a consultation session at no charge. Please contact me using the contact form if you would like to meet and discern if spiritual direction could be beneficial for you.
HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?
Spiritual direction is an investment in your spiritual journey. In order to make spiritual direction available to those who seek it, compensation rates may vary from one individual to another. A fee of $70 is requested per one hour session; some need to give less, others choose to give more. More information will be provided in your initial consultation.
DOES GAIL HAVE A SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR?
Yes, I do! Meeting with my spiritual director is one of the spiritual disciplines I value the most in my own spiritual journey. We explore together the ways that God is present in my life. When things in life get in the way of my awareness to Him, she’s there to listen without judgment. She provides a safe space where I can express my pain, my questions, my joy and my experiences with God. In spiritual direction, I feel welcomed, I feel heard, and I feel accepted.
